Final thoughts from Veronica...

Dear customers and friends,

It has been an incredible journey for me for the last five years working at the Caravan.

I have learned so much from this experience, but more importantly, I've had memorable conversations with many of you, who became friends.

It is with a heavy heart that I see this business close its doors, but like all good things, Adriana's Caravan must come to an end.

My next journey is to work for MKDS Architects as an administrative assistant. I am looking forward to the challenge.

Thank you all for being our customers; it has been a pleasure for me.

Best regards,

Veronica

...and Rochelle

Dear customers and friends,

As I'm sure you know by now, after 20 years Adriana's Caravan is closing on May 31, 2011.

It has been an exhilarating ride, and there have been some great experiences.

But now it's time for a new adventure. I enrolled in the Graduate Program in International Affairs at The New School in January of last year, with the thought of reinventing myself once more. I had done it in 1991, when I opened Adriana's Bazaar on the Upper West Side in Manhattan; and in 1994, after the store closed, when I created Adriana's Caravan as a mail order business. Why not again?

If you're curious to see what happens next, read my blog, Flahooley, at beingrochelle.com. (It's the name of a Broadway musical I saw when I was eight, which I've never forgotten. To me, it represents the thrill of encountering the new.)

It has been wonderful sharing this store with you.

Thank you, as always,
Rochelle
